The Summer Arabic program in Hebron, Palestine, is an immersive language learning experience that will take place from June to late September. This Arabic language summer program offers participants the unique opportunity to learn Arabic in an authentic and immersive environment, while also experiencing the rich Palestinian culture and history of the West Bank, Palestine.
The Summer Arabic immersion program is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose when they would like to participate. Starting on the 1st day of each month (June, July, August, and September 2026), there are three 4-week Arabic sessions available. This means that if you desire, you can spend up to three months living and studying Arabic with us.
A Wide Range of Arabic Dialects
Our Summer Intensive Arabic Program 2026 in Palestine covers a wide range of Arabic dialects, including:

A Small Group Setting

Living with a Palestinian Host Family
As part of our summer intensive Arabic program, you will be offered accommodation with a local Palestinian host family for the duration of your study in Hebron, giving you plenty of opportunities to practice your Arabic with local Palestinian people, including women, children, youth, and local community members. You may even get the chance to attend weddings and other cultural events with your host family.
Moreover, the intensive Arabic coursework combined with the daily interactions with the Palestinian host family will help you increase your Arabic proficiency within a short period of time, regardless of the level you are studying at.
Arabic Program Structure
The Summer Intensive Arabic Program offers Arabic classes tailored to all proficiency levels, including Starter, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.
These Arabic classes are held five days a week, with two dedicated days for field trips within Hebron and the West Bank, all conducted in Arabic/English.

Our Summer Arabic Intensive Classes are the best option for those who want to accelerate their Arabic language learning. We give students 4-6 hours of Arabic sessions every day, allowing them to maintain a continuous engagement with the language.
You will almost always cover the equivalent of one semester of Arabic language study in just four weeks with Travel to Palestine, resulting in a greater language retention rate and quicker proficiency.
Eligibility
This Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program 2026 in Hebron, Palestine, is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners, and mature students with an academic background. However, English-language fluency is also required and you must be between 16-70 years old to apply.
Language Proficiency Level
We offer a full Arabic curriculum (with books and all course materials included), at six different levels to accommodate students of all language experiences and proficiencies, including:
Beginner Arabic Course
This course is designed for students with no previous Arabic language experience. This course will introduce students to basic concepts such as the Arabic alphabet, writing systems, grammar fundamentals, phonetics, vocabulary, and common colloquial phrases. The beginner’s course will create a strong linguistic foundation from which students can work into more advanced courses.
Elementary Arabic Course
This course continues where the previous course left off, building on the student’s foundational Arabic language knowledge. This entails introducing new vocabulary and slightly more complex grammatical rules into the curriculum, as well as regular reading, writing, and speaking exercises. Upon completion, students will be able to converse, read, and write about basic everyday topics such as shopping, asking for directions, and expressing preferences.
Intermediate Arabic Course
The intermediate course will introduce students to a more immersive curriculum than the previous levels. This will entail venturing into the Arabic community of Hebron to communicate with native speakers and complete everyday tasks. Students may be instructed to purchase items from a Palestinian market, order from a restaurant, discuss preferences on a particular topic, and perform other activities. Students will also be introduced to subjects that address specific issues such as culture, art, and politics. They will learn the vocabulary needed to converse about these topics in a concise and well-informed manner.
Advanced Arabic Course
This course maintains the immersive nature of the intermediate level while expanding into more complex reading, writing, and spoken materials. Additionally, students will conduct research in the community of Hebron on a variety of subjects. Students will be able to establish a firm understanding of and a grammatical competence in Arabic. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to articulate their thoughts and opinions on complex matters such as politics, history, the environment, and the arts of Palestine.
Can I Add More Arabic Hours to My Study Program?
Of course! Students in all of our Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program are free to add additional Arabic language hours, with each hour costing 25 euros.
If you are interested in adding extra Arabic hours, please mention this in your email, and we will be more than happy to organize them for you.
Arabic Course Intensity Options
Non-Intensive Levantine Arabic Course
This course load would mean students spend approximately 12 hours per week in Arabic classes. We recommend that students who are interested in a long-term program lasting 2-3 months enroll in our Non-Intensive course. This will provide you with plenty of in-class instruction while still leaving ample time to explore the city of Hebron and immerse yourself in Palestinian culture outside of class.
Intensive Levantine Arabic Course
This course load would mean students spend about 20 hours per week in Arabic classes with additional assigned homework and extracurricular activities on top. For those looking to study for a month or less, we recommend enrolling in our Intensive courses.
Super Intensive Levantine Arabic Course
This course load includes up to 30 hours of in-class Arabic lessons per week. This intensity is for those looking for a challenge, and for anyone who wants to make great gains in their language abilities. However, this does not account for the extra-curricular activities for which Travel to Palestine is well known, and may be an overwhelming study load for some. There is no doubt you will leave Palestine with an accentuated and advanced knowledge of Arabic after this course.
How to Fly to Palestine?
The easiest way to get to Hebron, West Bank, is to fly to:
- Ben Gurion, Tel Aviv Airport in Israel. It takes about two and a half hours from the airport to Hebron via shared taxi.
Alternatively:
- Flying to Eilat airport in the south of Israel and then traveling by shuttle or by taking a bus to Jerusalem and then to Hebron. However, the duration of the trip can last between six and seven hours.
- Flying to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan, and then crossing the border to Palestine. However, this takes more time and is more expensive
Tel Aviv Airport Pickups
Our staff can organize a taxi to pick you up at Ben Gurion Airport and take you straight to Hebron and the Center. This is the easiest and fastest way (about an hour, 60 km/37 miles) to get to us.
Additional fees apply, and the trip costs about 160 euros. Please let us know if you are interested in this option.
